"Using
what I learned from the Biblical Language Center, enrollment in
my Hebrew class has tripled." Please note that for a number of logistical reasons, it has become necessary to move the dates of the workshop a week later, to June 4-13, 2010. In addition, Dr. Brian Schultz, professor of Biblical Hebrew at Fresno Pacific University, has recently submitted an application for a large grant to the Wabash Center to help fund an enhanced version of the workshop. The grant would not only subsidize participant expenses, but enable bringing additional leaders in the field of Communicative Language Teaching. The goal would be to bring more depth and experience to the workshop in order to more thoroughly identify and generate the needed pedagogical skills, especially oral fluency, that are required for applying Communicative Language Teaching to Biblical Hebrew. As soon as Dr. Schultz hears back from the Wabash Center (estimated end of February), we will update the website accordingly as well as contact all who have already registered.
